Points Sytems



Mens 1st  and 2nd teams (90 overs)

Team batting first can have 45 overs. Any unused overs (by declaration or dismissal) are ‘passed’ to the other team.


Win              =  25 pts  (won toss bat 1st or lost toss bat 1st or 2nd)

                   =  20 pts (won toss bat 2nd)

Draw            = 2 pts + bonus pts

Tie               =  18 pts each (if team batting 2nd all out)

Ppnd/Aban  =  7 pts or  draw pts plus accrued bonus pts at the time of the abandonment, whichever is greater.

                       If team batting 2nd have 10 overs (or more) less overs as a result of interruption, minimum pts are 7


Batting bonus pts (max of 10)  

1 pt at 100 runs then every 20 runs thereafter upto 180.

Double batting pts if bat first OR game is drawn and you bat second having lost the toss

After 43 minutes of lost time, the batting targets start to change - there is a table in the handbook.

If a team is bowled out or declares early, the team batting 2nd only scores bonus pts at the number of overs they would have originally got at the start of the game.


Bowling Bonus points (max of 5)

1 pt at the fall of the odd numbered wickets



Mens 3rd team (80 overs)

Win              =  25 pts

Draw            = 3 pts + bonus pts  (if bat 1st)

                   = 2 pts + bonus pts  (interruptions reduces overs for 2nd team)

                   = 1 pts + bonus pts  (if bat 2nd)

Tie               =  16 pts each (if team batting 2nd all out)

Ppnd/Aban  =  7 pts or  draw pts plus accrued bonus pts at the time of the abandonment, whichever is greater.

                       If team batting 2nd have 10 overs (or more) less overs as a result of interruption, minimum pts are 7


Batting bonus pts (max of 8)  

1 pt at 100 runs then every 20 runs therefater upto 160

Double batting pts if bat first

After 35 minutes of lost time, the batting targets start to change - there is a table in the handbook.

If a team is bowled out or declares early, the team batting 2nd only scores bonus pts at the number of overs they would have originally got at the start of the game.


Bowling Bonus points (max of 4)

1 pt for the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th wixkets




Ladies (40 overs per side)

Win or lose only, no draws.


Win      =  25 pts

Tie      =  15 pts

Postponed   =  8 pts

Abandoned  =  8 pts + accrued bonus pts at the time of the abandonment (either side gets <20 overs)


Batting bonus pts (max of 5)   

1 pt at 50 runs and then every 25 runs up to a maximum of 150 runs.

Bonus points for teams in weather-curtailed matches will be awarded for scoring at 1.25, 1.875, 2.5, 3.125 and 3.75 runs per over.


Bowling Bonus pts (max of 5)

1 pt at the fall of the 1st wicket and then the third, fifth, seventh and ninth wickets.

In the event that the batting side does not field 11 batsmen, or batsmen retire hurt, then the bowling side will be awarded five bowling points if they take all available wickets.


Deductions

Winning teams fielding less than 11 players will be deducted 1 point.
